The leak test is performed with the engine cold. The tester works with normal compressed air and an integrated pressure regulator.
The pressure is displayed a on a gauge with measuring range 0 - 600 mbar.
A pressure drop indicates leaks in the exhaust system. Finding the leaks is carried out by finding source of the noise of the escaping air or with the aid of a leakage spray.
