For Renault vehicles this is a special pliers for the disassembly and assembly of the snap ring in the transmission case which secures the transmission shaft into the exit port. There are two different snap ring types: a weaker snap ring in all JC transmissions, such as the JB and JR transmission, and a strong, more solid ring in the transmissions PK1, PK6 and PF1, PF2.
